Confident Brigantine player without Portugal qualifying for the European
The Women’s Under-17 National Team is already working at Cidade do Futebol, in Oeiras, with a view to preparing for the qualifying phase for the 2022 European Championship.
The group of 20 players called up by Marisa Gomes, national coach, has Bruna Ramos, a Sporting CP player with roots in the village of Moredo, in Bragança.
Brigantina was part of all stages of the team in the corners of preparation for this phase that is expected to be difficult. Portugal will face Finland, Germany and Bosnia Herzegovina, games that will take place between the 8th and 14th of November.
“We are in a very difficult group where the organizing team for the tournament is, in Bosnia, Germany, which is one of the powers of women’s football, and in Finland. We are also a strong team and we are prepared. This week will be important for our growth ”, said the player.
The atmosphere in the national team is “very good”, as one athlete said. As players they are united and confident. “Although many players left after training, many due to injury, the core is the same and the objective is also, which is to always be united”.
The qualifiers are held in the Algarve and Bruna Ramos has the full support of the Portuguese, especially the Brigantines. “Everyone’s support will be important.”
Portugal’s first game is scheduled for the 8th of November, at the Estádio Municipal de Albufeira, against Finland.
Next came the match with Germany, no. 11, and Bosnia Herzegovina, no. 14, Estádio do Algarve.
Bruna Ramos is a constant presence in young national teams. The player represents Sporting CP since the age of 14, before playing for Sacavenense, the club where she started her career in football. The leonine player has Trás-os-Montes DNA, the father is from Moredo, in the municipality of Bragança.
