“No one is happier than the gourmand” said Rousseau. For its 21st edition and after two years of absence due to the health crisis, the Salon Vins & Terroirs et Chocolat & Gourmandises has something to delight epicureans and gourmets. Installed in the new Toulouse Exhibition Center in Aussonne until Monday, 300 producers came to present their best appellations and great wines or cocoa vintages. Regional meeting of gourmets, the event allows to highlight and promote French gastronomy through a significant number of exhibitors, gathered for the occasion: “The idea of the Show is to perpetuate and to retain our customers through meetings, discussions and tastings “confides Thibaud David, winegrower-harvester from Gabarnac. Amateurs or initiates, the Show is above all a meeting place between a public in search of discoveries and producers aware of the advantage of direct sales for establishing relationships with customers and offering products that meet their expectations: ” Our job is to bring people into our world and leave them happy.
300 flavors to test
Divided into two parts, the Show offers visitors to introduce their taste buds to more than 300 different aromatic compounds of chocolate, wines and other local products. The opportunity for them to discover the multiple possible associations between an alcoholic drink and a dish: “We offer a wide variety of chocolate ranges which allow us to advise customers on many possible combinations between products. A sweet wine with a spiced chocolate or a grand cru chocolate with a spicy wine for example “explains Antoine Butori, sales representative for the artisanal chocolate factory Comptoir du Cacao based in the Loiret. In addition to the various tasting events organized, visitors can also participate in the Accord Vins Chocolats workshops on Sunday and Monday, to reveal original and tasty pairings between wines and chocolate. As a novelty, the Show also continues a selection of the best products from the Occitanie region in the “South of France” area. Enough to generate real fireworks of flavors!
