The opening of the D1 motorway at the 25th kilometer near Prague is postponed to Sunday 11 am. The reason is the delay in work during the installation of the supporting structure of the overpass near Kaliště. The reason for the delay is the slower transport of the structure to the site, spokesman for the Directorate of Roads and Motorways (ŘSD) Jan Rýdl on twitter. Operation was scheduled to resume at 9 p.m.

The highway was scheduled to close on Saturday at 9 p.m. Workers are installing an overpass structure that transfers the local Lensedly – Hrušov service road via the D1 motorway. The structure is steel, measures 77.5 meters, is four meters wide and weighs 168 tons. The structure will be fitted with two cranes, each with a capacity of 500 tons.
Drivers must drive around detours during the closing time. For vehicles up to 12 tons, there is a detour in both directions from the exit to Mirošovice, along the road I / 3 and via Benešov to the exit at the 34th kilometer near Ostředek. Cars over 12 tons have to go around the highway by a significantly longer detour, through Tábor. He will return to the highway at the 90th kilometer near Humpolec.
“We did not notice any complications on detours,” said police spokeswoman Barbora Schneeweiss.
During the demolition of the bridge, truck drivers did not respect the set detour and drove on routes for cars up to 12 tons. This created traffic complications.
