The Ministry of Health wants to raise the level of vaccination to 95% for certain professional categories by the end of autumn.
Great ambitions at the Ministry of Health. By the end of autumn, ie in a month, it is desired to raise the level of vaccination to 95 percent for certain professional categories – doctors, postmen, police officers and all those who work in the field of public services. According to the latest decision of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission, almost all front-line employees must be immunized. Authorities in Chisinau say they will approach this goal, while some experts admit it is almost impossible.
VACCINATION UNTIL DECEMBER 1
Staff of public institutions
Placement staff for children and the elderly
Post staff
Bank staff
Employees of the Ministry of Interior and the Customs Service
Drivers, transporters
HORECA employees
The Public Health Commission of Chisinau put at the top of the vaccination list the employees of the City Hall and of all its subordinate subdivisions.
BORIS GÂLCA, Deputy Chief, Chisinau Health Directorate: “We recognize that not all employees are vaccinated, it is an internal persuasive activity every day. We even have many public institutions, we have subdivisions within the mayor’s office. “
The vaccination rate in Chisinau is 37 percent, and among the leaders are doctors and teachers. HORECA administrators, although among those most affected by the crisis, say they cannot force employees to get vaccinated. In some places the immunization rate does not exceed 15%.
ANETA ZASAVITCHI, President of MĂR: “The Ministry of Health should work with the citizens and not involve the business in this vaccination because we do not have real levers and it is not our job to do it.”
Levers were found at the right time in European Union countries and were effective. The Chisinau Ministry of Health has set up groups of experts to attend briefings with people who refuse to be immunized.
LIANA EŞANU, director, AMT Buiucani: “It is a hesitation, a refusal if you want to or a clue, this is the category of patients we should not talk to. And those who believe in my conspiracies are very difficult for me to understand what their relationship is and last but not least the world still does not believe in the existence of the virus. “
AUREL POPOVICI, president, Federation of Medical Unions: “The most opportune example would be those serious cases in all hospitals in the Republic of Moldova, those deaths in large numbers that are due to these diseases, these would be the most objective for society as a whole. . . ”
According to the authorities, the Republic of Moldova has been given the green light to immunize children over 12 years of age, as well as vaccination with the third dose.
