Milan conquer Rome. But there is a big problem with the derby
The Milan by Stefano Pioli wins a very important match, 2-1 at José Mourinho’s Roma, and remains so attached to Luciano Spalletti’s Napoli that in the 18:00 match he had beaten Salernitana’s resistance 1-0 in the Campania derby. Two set kicks decide the Olimpico challenge: the free kick by Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the first half and the penalty by Kessie in the second half with two goals canceled for offside to Rafael Leao (for offside by Ibrahimovic) and the Swede for the same offside . In the final, the goal of the ex of El Shaarawy which only makes a deserved defeat less bitter for what was shown in the arc of the 90 ‘minutes.
Ten victories and only one draw, against Juventus, this roadmap of Milan who scored 25 goals with 10 goals in the passive in 11 days. In the next round the Devil will see himself right against theInter and in case of victory he would give a blow to the Nerazzurri who would slip ten from the top, a draw would obviously leave everything unchanged while a victory by Inzaghi’s team would not compromise the Rossoneri’s standings.
The discordant note
Milan played a good game, intelligent, attentive and showed that they have killer inspiration plus a good dose of luck in some situations that never hurts. To make the victory over Roma less beautiful, the expulsion of Theo Hernandez for a double yellow card: a red given that next Sunday will be the derby against Simone Inzaghi’s Inter who follows seven points behind. A heavy absence that will be added to that of goalkeeper Mike Maignan and Ante Rebic but Milan seems to have found the right place and now anyone who is deployed on the field by Pioli can make the difference.
