30-year-old threatens a man with a gun
On Sunday night, the police closed Reitwallstrasse and parts of Steintorstrasse (center) to pedestrians. Then the officers arrested a 30-year-old. A police spokeswoman said that he had previously threatened a 35-year-old with a gun. An explosives detection dog found a loaded alarm pistol during a home search.
Several men had previously drunk alcohol in the detainee’s home. At around 12:10 a.m., the 35-year-old alerted the police. He was threatened with a gun or on the phone. Officers from the Central Police Department immediately moved out and surrounded the house. When the accused left the building, access was deleted.
The reason for the threat was a quarrel between the two men. When the 30-year-old ran out of arguments, he pushed up his sweater. According to the police, the gun was in the waistband. With this gesture, the 35-year-old had decided to leave the apartment.
Now the 30-year-old armed man has to expect a threat. Due to the lack of grounds for detention, the Hanover public prosecutor failed to apply for an arrest warrant.
