The Kremlin announced the inevitability of Russia to abandon the oil needle
MOSCOW, October 30 – PRIME. Russia will inevitably give up the oil needle. RBK Special Presidential Envoy for Climate Ruslan Edelgeriev.
According to him, the country’s authorities have long discussed the need for such a step, but due to the energy transition, which is now being actively discussed in the West, it became necessary.
“The world economic order we need is leading us to this, whether we like it or not.
Edelgeriev recalled that President Vladimir Putin signed a number of decrees to increase the volume of non-resource non-energy exports by at least 70% by 2030.
Speaking on October 13 at Russian Energy Week, the head of state must reach a geometric neutral state, which takes the form of harmful metals in the atmosphere and recovered from there, no later than 2060.
“This is a very correct wording, because you need to take a flexible position,” Edelgeriev said.
According to him, this will become possible depending on the market conditions and external partners: if there are no double standards, elements of containment and protectionism, there will be common internal markets, low-carbon nuclear energy and so on.
