Six road accidents leave eight injured
Luxembourg firefighters had work, between Friday evening and Saturday morning, with six accidents for a total toll of eight injured. The first intervention took place on Friday at 7:02 p.m., according to the report of the Grand-Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS). Three cars had collided on the A13 between Sanem and Pétange. The accident left three lightly injured.
Almost at the same time, but much further north, a person was hit by a car on rue Clairefontaine in Diekirch. The victim was also slightly injured. One minute, two cars were after midnight in an accident on the A4 towards Esch-sur-Alzette. Again, one person was slightly injured.
Same results for the last accident of the night, which occurred at 3:23 am, according to the CGDIS. A car pulled off the road and crashed into an oncoming car before ending up against a tree along Boulevard Victor-Thorn in Luxembourg City. The motorist in the first car, the only one injured in the accident, is among the long list of drunk drivers the police met last night. This Saturday morning, the firefighters had to intervene at 7.15 am on the A13 towards Luxembourg, for a collision between two cars between the Aire de Berchem and the Croix de Gasperich. Assessment: not injured. Finally, at 10:14 am, a car ended up on the roof on the A13 between the Biff roundabout and Sanem. Again, one person was injured.
