Innsbruck – The financial police checked the subcontractors of a parcel service provider in the Innsbruck area on Thursday as part of a focus control.
60,000 euros in fines and attachment of claims are now only the first balance sheet, further fines due to various violations are the result.
“Tax and duty fraud is always at the expense of honest companies and honest taxpayers. This priority action shows more that the financial police are resolutely taking action against it, ”commented Finance Minister Gernot Blümel yesterday.
In cooperation with the police, the financial police started the focus action at the parcel distribution center at 6 a.m. 24 freight carriers with 13 domestic and 57 foreign persons were checked. The establishment of a transport company as well as a residential building rented by it were also examined, and numerous crimes were uncovered.
For example, ten ASVG violations were found in six companies: 8,000 euros in fines.
In addition, claims were garnished from the client at six companies in the amount of almost 50,000 euros. An entrepreneur presented a residence card that was not valid for any gainful employment – so he was doing his job illegally. The Federal Office for Immigration and Asylum is now interested in this. The incorrect behavior of the parcel drivers in the steering protocol to be carried out is particularly striking. In 90 percent of all cases there was no protocol. Reports to the labor inspectorate are the result. (fell)
