Bundesliga: Crazy draw between Ried and Salzburg
A crazy game on matchday 13 of the Admiral Bundesliga between SV Ried and Red Bull Salzburg ended without a winner. The Innviertler and the “Bulls” split up due to a turbulent final phase with a 2-2 draw.
The “Vikings” get off to a better start in the game. After three minutes, Julian Wießmeier missed a great chance, in the ninth minute the Rieder lead fell:
Ex-Salzburg Luca Meisl climbs the highest after a utility corner and heads onto the Salzburg Gate. According to the linesman’s opinion, Philipp Köhn can only parry the ball behind the line and the VAR confirms the Innviertel team’s hit – a controversial decision. However, there is no goal-line technique that would provide clarity in the Bundesliga.
After that, Salzburg presented itself without ideas against strong defensive Rieder, only Brenden Aaronson provided a bit of danger (26th).
The next big chance for the “Bulls” to equalize comes in the 73rd minute: After a penalty foul by Samuel Sahin-Radlinger on Junior Adamu, Rasmus Kristensen starts from the point, but fails with his weak attempt at the Ried goalkeeper.
A late double blow finally turns the party upside down: First Adamu hits after a mistake by Sahin-Radlinger to equalize (83rd), just a few seconds later Joker Noah Okafor is right after a Seiwald shot at the pole and dusts for 2: 1 from (85th).
But it doesn’t stop there. In the third minute of stoppage time, the substitute Leo Mikic appeared after a Stosic free kick in the opponent’s penalty area and scored a powerful equalizer.
