Youngsters caught after breaking into newspaper coffers
In the Salzburg district of Lehen, two young people were stopped who are suspected of breaking into newspaper coffers and emptying them.
On the late Thursday evening, several police patrols were ordered to Salzburg Lehen because, according to the caller, two young people were about to break into a newspaper till. During the immediate search that followed, two suspicious young people, a 15-year-old Pongau man and a 13-year-old Syrian, were found dead. When they saw the approaching police patrols, they fled in different directions. Two patrol crews followed the young people on foot across several streets and were still able to identify both perpetrators. Already at the first questioning they confessed to having torn down two newspaper coffers in Salzburg fiefdom, breaking into them and stealing the coins inside. After completing the initial survey, the adolescents were transferred to a care facility for adolescents.
