Three days for cycling enthusiasts in all its forms in Avignon
From this Friday, October 29 until Sunday, activities, demonstrations and competitions with some of the best BMX competitors on the Avignon Vélo Passion program.
For three days, lovers of two wheels meet in Avignon Vélo Passion at the Avignon exhibition center. This large show dedicated to the little queen brings together on one site all cycling practices: road, mountain biking, BMX, urban, electric, balance bike… This year, the event is sponsored by Thierry Bourguignon.
In the program : village of exhibitors with bicycle tourism (VPA, accommodation, communities), sale of material and equipment for sports, leisure and tourism bicycles; presentation of bicycle tourism experiences with, in particular, the screening of a film of a stopover traveler and feedback; freestyle demonstrations (three times a day during the three days at 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m.); activities for children: introduction to balance bike, bicycle and shooting (the innovative course for children); walks for young and old: gravel, family walk, search for pebbles in Agroparc by bike.
The French n ° 1
More than a thousand pilots including Sylvain André, the French number 1 (4th in the last Olympic Games in Tokyo, tenant of the European Cup title) and the best in the world, including Kevin Miquel, world number 4 in enduro mountain biking and professional pilot, will compete one of the only two indoor BMX competitions in France (from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st October).
Saturday, at 7:30 p.m., place at the open pro indoor BMX show. On a track of more than 300 meters, three turns and series of dirt moguls, the competitors will face each other during the qualifying heats and the final stages. The race has two open categories (men / women) aged 17 or over (17/24 years, 25/29 years, 30 years and over, juniors, elites and professionals).
