These are all new residents that the CHPG welcomed on Thursday, October 21. Small smiling fabric mascots with colorful ears, offered by the association Monaco Smileys.
Make children smile again
Of course, the primary interest of these little mascots is to reassure young patients, some very small, who may feel lost in the hospital. Each child will be able to repair with his doll after his operation.
Beyond comfort, these mascots also play an essential role in mediation. They make it possible to enter into a more gentle relationship with patients and facilitate dialogue between them and the nursing staff. Children can also point to areas of pain on the mascot, or draw directly on them if they have difficulty expressing themselves.
Finally, these dolls make it possible to channel anxieties before an operation, while allowing a different approach to hospitalization and nursing staff.
