Suspended for lack of vaccine, a nurse will receive a long service award
A 46-year-old nurse who had been suspended by a clinic for lack of anti-Covid vaccination received a letter from her employer. The object? An invitation to an evening, on November 19, “with medal presentation for the recognition of work” and his “attachment” to his establishment.
“It looks like an April 1st”: a nurse, suspended by a clinic in the Lyon region for lack of anti-Covid vaccination, will receive a long service medal from her employer for her 20 years of service, reports Friday Progress.
Aged 46 and domiciled in the Loire, the nurse was suspended in mid September by the management of a clinic in Caluire-et-Cuire, in application of the law of 5 August relating to the vaccination obligation for the staff of health.
The nurse expects to receive her reward
Recently, she received a letter from her employer inviting her to a party, on November 19, “with a medal presentation for the recognition of work” and of her “attachment” to the Protestant Infirmary – name of the clinic – of which she has been employed since 2001. “I wondered whether to laugh or cry about it. I said to myself: no, it is better to laugh about it. It looks like an April 1,” responded the nurse, who did not had not asked for this medal.
The one who earns her living in the interim since her suspension intends to honor the invitation which does not specify, according to her, if the health pass is mandatory. With “a nice little speech” on what she thinks of the situation.
