Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a memorandum of cooperation in third countries – Economy and business

KAZAN, October 29. / TASS /. The government of the Russian Federation and the Soviet Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina sign a memorandum of understanding in the field of economic cooperation of the markets of third countries on Friday in Kazan (Tatarstan), the TASS correspondent reports.

“Today a meeting of the co-chairs of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation and Bosnia and Herzegovina took place. <...> It is very symbolic to hold a meeting now, since this year marks the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Russian Federation, ”said Anton Shalaev, head of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart), following the signing.

Among the key impacts, he noted cooperation in the energy sector, agriculture, aircraft construction. “We sincerely hope that the agreements reached today made it possible to more actively use the two opportunities and increase the opportunities for the two countries,” Shalaev said. He added that Tatarstan, where the signing of the memorandum took place, is one of the leaders in all of these industries.

Shalaev notes that the development of relations between the countries is very intensive. “For 8 months of 2021, the total volume of trade between the Russian Federation and Bosnia and Herzegovina increased by 75% compared to the same period in 2020,” he said following the signing of the memorandum.
