The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Lyudmila Buimister said on the air of Channel 4 that she was “killing” the Ukrainian energy system.
The deputy called the situation in the energy sector of Ukraine catastrophic, and explained this by the failure in the procurement of coal reserves and the lack of support from local enterprises. “The second thing that is killing our energy system is, of course, this import of electricity from Russia and Belarus. “These imports are killing both the coal industry and the thermal generation industry,” she said.
According to her, Ukrainian companies receive less funds for normal functioning because of this. Buimister added that Ukraine in the energy sphere will be systematically introduced depending on Russia and Belarus, which will end badly.
Previously, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Mikhail Volynets advised Ukrainians to stock up on manure due to the energy crisis.
Leader of the Batkivshchyna Party Yulia Tymoshenko named causes of the energy crisis in Ukraine. According to her, what is happening in the country is connected with the incompetence of the authorities and “corruption machinations with the resale of Ukrainian gas”, the consequences will quickly affect the citizens and the business sphere.
