Innsbruck (dpa / lby) – In Tyrol, the protective measures are being significantly increased due to the rapidly increasing number of corona infections. From November 8th, access to major events for more than 500 people and to night gastronomy will only be possible for genesis and vaccinated people, the country announced on Friday. A test is no longer enough.

With the number of new infections, the situation in the hospitals threatens to become critical. It can no longer be ruled out that routine operations will have to be postponed in the foreseeable future, as will country manager Günther Platter. Therefore, as a precaution, an FFP2 mask requirement is being reintroduced for everyone in museums and libraries as well as in all retail.

More than 700 corona infections were recorded in the Austrian state within 48 hours. The number of new cases of illness is rising sharply throughout Austria.
