Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau pays lightning visit to the Netherlands, also visits our region
“We agree on how to tackle the climate crisis: with higher ambitions and more cooperation,” Bonte writes on Twitter. Trudeau stopped by the Global Center on Adaptation that was opened by the king two months ago. “He is one of the initiators of the climate center, so that’s why he was involved earlier. After that, he spoke with entrepreneurs and students,” says Arno Bonte. Trudeau came by in preparation for next week’s climate summit in Glasgow. The organization Global on Adaptation helps companies and the climate to learn from each other when it comes to measures that can counteract change.

Bonte was impressed by the Canadian Prime Minister’s knowledge and skills. “I was curious if he shared our ambitions, that more international cooperation is needed. We are on the same page.” It was Trudeau’s first visit to the climate center. “We have a nice impression of Rotterdam advancing”.
Trudeau paid a lightning visit to the Netherlands and spoke with Prime Minister Rutte earlier in the day in The Hague. Discussions included the relationship between Canada, as well as developments in trade and cooperation in the field of defense and security. Trudeau also discussed the climate measures that should be taken with Rutte.
