Stefano Canti (State Secretary for the Territory and the Environment): “The Lombardy Region is a great ally of the Republic of San Marino, we have always had excellent relations. The question of this important agreement, today, is its confirmation. The agreement will give the companies in our area the opportunity to recover their waste in the final plants that are located in the Lombardy Region. “
Raffaele Cattaneo (Councilor for the Environment and Climate of the Lombardy Region): “An agreement that confirms the excellent relations existing between the Lombardy Region and the Republic of San Marino. The common horizon must be that of the circular economy, overcoming the classic idea of rejection. The new challenge we face is the new name of development and that this guides our policies. The Lombardy Region has long ago chosen the path of recovery and reuse: a path towards the circular economy, adopting its principles. In fact, we allow the best possible solutions for waste management, through the study and creation of an industrial supply chain that has placed us at the forefront of the path in the circular economy. Today we provide the San Marino government with the network of our plants to recycle a share of their special waste and a choice of suitable technologies “.
