President of the Salzburg Festival visits MiE in Passau
The Salzburg Festival is not only the most important cultural festival in the world, it is also of great economic importance. Before her appearance at MENSCHEN in EUROPA, the Festival President Helga Rabl-Stadler spoke to the PNP.

People from all over the world come to Salzburg to experience the glamorous festival. Helga Rabl-Stadler, who has a doctorate in law, has been president of the cultural festival since 1995. Before that she was also for the ÖVP in the Austrian parliament from 1983 to 1990. The festival is not only a cultural showcase, it is also of enormous economic importance.
In Salzburg alone, around 2,000 jobs were created and benefited from the festival, and around 3,000 in all of Austria. In the MENSCHEN in EUROPA series on Thursday, November 4, at 6 p.m. in the media center of the Passauer Neue Presse, the President will discuss “crises, disasters, Climate – challenges to the economy ”together with the BMW board chairman Oliver Zipse and Bertram Brossardt, the managing director of the Association of Bavarian Economy.
