Portugal with five more deaths and 888 cases of Covid-19
According to the most recent epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health, Portugal currently has 318 inpatients in the ward (two more than the day before) and 60 in intensive care units (one less than the day before).
Of the total of new cases, 370 were registered in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, 221 in the northern region, 176 in the center, 51 in Algarve and 35 in Alentejo. A further 22 infections were reported in Madeira and 13 in the Azores.
Regarding deaths, these were registered in the central region (two), in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (two) and Alentejo (one). Three of the deaths were over 80 years old, one between 70 and 79 years old and one between 60 and 69 years old.
The bulletin reports yet another 671 recoveries, raising the total to 1,038,529. There are an additional 212 active cases and another 350 contacts under surveillance.
