According to surviving sources, the establishment of the first football club in Děčín dates back to 1921. 100 years later, Děčín football remembered everything with a successful celebration. The Municipal Stadium in Děčín has prepared a varied program for spectators. Everything was started by the smallest football players. The teams of the home FK Junior Děčín and the Prague Sparta presented themselves on the lawn. On three smaller playgrounds, younger pupils, older and younger preparation fought.
The celebrations took place under the patronage of the mayor of Děčín, Jiří Anděl. He was represented on the field by Martin Pošta, Deputy Mayor for Education, Culture and Sport.
Before the main match, arranged by the legends SK Děčín Podmokly and AC Sparta Praha, former players, coaches and officials who moved in Děčín football for many years met on the lawn. Four of them received smaller gifts from the town of Děčín and FK Junior Děčín.
Then came the main point of the Děčín celebrations on the agenda. Jarošík in the goal, in the field Novotný, Kincl, Zelenka and others. Yes, former players of Prague Sparta against Děčín football legends, led by Voříšek, Čížek, Ranger. Coach Martin Pulpit could not miss the bench.
An excellent visitor, an estimated six or seven cooks of football fans, saw a nice show that offered 13 goals. It was not so much about the result, yet Sparta defeated Děčín 8: 5.
