open judicial investigation for intentional homicide

After the murder of Roberto, a 27-year-old Spaniard killed in Soyons, the Avignon criminal office opened earlier this week a criminal investigation for intentional homicide.

This is the logical continuation of the investigation started three weeks ago. On October 7, in the early hours of the morning, Roberto was found dying on a path near Lône de L’Ove in Soyons, in the Ardèche. He presented about thirty games to the head, struck by a blunt object. He later died in the hospital.

The judicial police of Valencia found blood in two places: in the tent of the young Spaniard but also on the path where he was found. The opening of a judicial investigation is the logical continuation of the procedure. It is first mandatory in matters of crime and this means that the investigation will now be carried out by an investigating judge in Avignon.

The public prosecutor of Privas, Cécile Deprade, underlines: “The professionalism and investment of the police services in this complex affair and more particularly the judicial police service of Valence and the INPS of Ecully, very invested and committed to solving this difficult affair”.
