On avenue Didier-Daurat, in the Montaudran sector in Toulouse, the discovery of a man who had come to clean the sewers was astonished: the bone, at first appearing human, had blocked a pumping pipe. . He was subsequently sent to the Toulouse forensic institute. The structure gave its verdict this Thursday, October 28: it indicates that it is a bone belonging … to a bovine.
The discovery had anticipated serious concerns: “We sometimes discover other things like weapons in certain neighborhoods. But a bone! When I saw it I was immediately said that it was human”, a testified the employee who discovered the bone with The Dispatch.
Several hours of investigation
The affair had mobilized significant resources. Teams from the Toulouse Métropole water service went to the site, camera in support, to inspect the pumping system. One of the employees, dressed in a white jumpsuit, descended into the sewers harnessed to a wire. The checks around the manhole lasted long hours.
The report from the Forensic Institute, however, does not indicate how the bone got into this sewer.
