The Tula government discussed cooperation with the Republic of Belarus

On October 27, a meeting of the joint working group on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Tula region was held via videoconferencing.

It was held by the first deputy governor of the Tula region Vyacheslav Fedorishchev and the chairman of the Belarusian state concern for the production and sale of light industry goods Tatyana Lugina.

So, during the meeting, Fedorishchev called the Republic of Belarus a reliable strategic partner for the Tula region.

“We successfully cooperate in agriculture, sports, culture, entrepreneurship, education and industry. This is especially important against the background of the expansion of integration processes in the Union State and the Eurasian Economic Community, the Vyacheslav Fedorishchev Prize.

According to the regional government, the foreign trade turnover between the Tula region and Belarus for 8 months of 2021 is more than $ 234 million. This is 68.7% more over the same period in 2020 and 46.4% more over the same period in 2019.

– The key words of the mutual trade group are ferrous metals, organic and inorganic chemistry, mineral fertilizers, food, plastics and chemical fibers, the regional government notes.

Tatyana Lugina, in turn, noted that the Republic of Belarus is interested in developing economic ties with the Tula region. Following the meeting, continue working contacts between the relevant departments in the fields of transport, industry, agriculture and tourism.

In addition, the Minister of Economic Development of the region Pavel Tatarenko came up with the initiative of an agreement on cooperation with the Grodno region of the Republic of Belarus. The proposal was supported.
