The San Martino Fair returns from 11 to 14 November: all sectors confirmed
It will be a San Martino Fair in the name of recovery and return to normality, while respecting the anti-Covid health measures, the one scheduled from 11 to 14 November. After the forced break of 2020, the best known and most popular of the Autumn fairs presents a rich program of initiatives spread over four full days, from Thursday to Sunday, to which is added the preview on Wednesday 10 November. The sectors of food and wine and typical nutrition confirmed: the Casa dell’Autunno in Piazza Marini and Casa Romagna in Piazza Ganganelli will present themselves without covered structures, but with well-spaced gazebos. The Refreshment Points and Street Food – the real wealth of the Fair with 40 spaces designed and distributed to grant a safer use – can be found in the Ganganelli, Gramsci and Marconi squares, in via de Bosis, in the Lavatoio square and in Piazzale Francolini. . Finally, there will be the Botte della Tradizione, with the new wine and the Cagnina, moved from Piazza Rino Molari to Piazza Ganganelli, near the Arch. Handicraft enthusiasts can instead count on three areas distributed in the center: in via Battisti the classic market of Porto Franco, under the arcade of the Town Hall the Handicraft chosen and, under the arcades of via Garibaldi, the creatives of “Fattamano a Sammartino “. The Francolini car park and via Montevecchi are reserved for the farm and the car exhibition. From Friday 5th to Sunday 14th November the funfair returns to piazzale Campana: the area reserved for rides will be occupied from 28th October until 17th November, while this year the Children’s Day is canceled for safety reasons. Thanks to the collaboration with the Baldini library and municipal museums, there will be events linked to food and tradition, with a reference to the Santarcangelo and Romagna identity. A link with tradition kept alive especially by the Storyteller’s Festival, scheduled for St. Martin’s Day, now in its 52nd edition this year. For health safety reasons, for this year, the Palio della Piada gives way to Pida di Bec, the prize for the piada produced by the best professional piadaioli in the city. As for the organizational aspects, the San Martino Fair 2021 will be able to count on wider and safer routes obtained with the suppression of 35 stalls and two covered structures, and more generally on a safety level coordinated by a specialized agency, as well as on the presence of stewards for compliance with anti-Covid rules. For visitors to the Fair it will be mandatory to have the Covid-19 green certification, which may be requested for random checks by the authorities in charge. Further information on traffic conditions, parking plan and on the program of the Fair will be communicated in the coming days. Finally, Sunday 31 October, both in the morning and in the afternoon, the market day of Friday 12 November will be made up, canceled as it coincides with the days of the Fair. For the occasion, all the traffic and parking opportunities foreseen for the weekly market will come into force.
