Prague weakened slightly before the holiday

The Prague Stock Exchange weakened slightly before tomorrow’s holiday. The PX index lost 0.16% and ended at 1338.64 points. The traded volume slightly exceeded CZK 0.5 billion. The largest activity was evident at ČEZ, which returned above CZK 750. The exchange rate strengthened by 0.54%. The main credit for the slightly negative performance of the index was the issue of Erste Group, which weakened by 1.19% to CZK 963.40. The price has remained at lower levels of CZK 960 since Monday, when investors absorb information about the intention to sell a block of shares by the existing shareholder CaixaBank. Yesterday’s loss slightly wiped out Moneta Money Bank shares, the exchange rate strengthened by 0.58% to CZK 86.80. The company will report its results on Friday. Erste Group will publish its finances at the beginning of next week. After correcting historical highs in the vicinity of CZK 600, Česká zbrojovka settled in the range of CZK 520 – 550, where it has been traded in the last two weeks. Today, the exchange rate recorded a higher volume of movement across this band and weakened by 3.32% to CZK 524. Kofola’s management today released details about the upcoming general meetings. The documents also contain information on the intention to continue a stable dividend policy with a view to 2023. The exchange rate strengthened by 0.93% and reached CZK 324.
