Munich: 14-year-old murdered in his sleep – police describe the depressing details

After a 14-year-old was killed in Munich, the police arrested a teenager. Details were given in a live statement.

Update from October 25th, 3:45 p.m .: The 14-year-old schoolgirl was believed to have been viciously killed by her boyfriend while she was sleeping. The mother finds her daughter dead in bed the next morning and dialed the emergency number at 7:40 a.m. The findings of the investigators: The girl was killed with a single stab in the chest. The suspected 17-year-old remained missing until Monday morning.

At around 8 a.m., federal police officers arrested him at the Pasing S-Bahn station in Munich. Two knives were found on the 17-year-old, explains the head of the homicide squad, Stephan Beer. It is still unclear whether one of them is the murder weapon. “I cannot give you any information about that because we simply do not yet know what kind of crime was used.”

Update October 25, 1:50 p.m .: When asked, Stephan Beer said that the 17-year-old was outwardly composed and calm at the time of his arrest. Because of his young age, his case is only being dealt with as a juvenile trial. Such procedures take place in camera.

The girl’s death occurred between 4 and 6 a.m. on Sunday morning. When he was arrested, the suspect, who lives in the Munich district, did not offer any resistance. However, it was said that he appeared “apathetic”.
