In the Khabarovsk Territory, two children drowned, falling through the ice of an artificial reservoir. About it informs regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
The incident occurred in the village of Gorny Solnechny District on October 26 at about 4 pm local time. As a result of the incident, two brothers, 10 and 6 years old, were killed. According to preliminary data, during a walk, one child ran out onto thin ice and fell through. His brother rushed to the rescue, but also found himself under the ice. A friend of the boys who witnessed the incident told an adult about the incident.
In the morning of October 27, a group of divers went to the place of emergency, which will inspect the day of the reservoir and search for children. The relatives of the victims will be assisted by the specialists of the department. Currently, law enforcement agencies and other perpetrators of the incident happened all the circumstances of the incident.
The department also warned that as long as the ice does not reach a thickness of 10-15 centimeters, it is extremely dangerous and cannot withstand the weight of a person, especially in conditions of day and night temperature differences.
In April, on Sakhalin, a snowmobile with skis fell under the ice of Lake Tunaicha; there were adult Russians and children on it. The ice cracked, and there were seven people underneath: children of 8 and 11 years old, three men and two women. Rescuers arrived at the scene, the victims were taken to a health center, one of them in a coma – to the Sakhalin regional hospital.
