Derby victories for Innsbruck and Bolzano!
The bet-at-Home ice hockey league featured seven games on the national holiday. In addition to the West Derby between Innsbruck and Dornbirn, the new South Tyrolean Derby between HC Pustertal and HC Bozen took place in Bruneck for the first time. For the Carinthian clubs there were duels with teams from the east. While the VSV Fehervar was expecting AV19, Klagenfurt made a guest appearance in Bratislava. The severely decimated Salzburgers also competed abroad. The ice cops had to deal with HC Orli Znojmo. On the other hand, Linz and Graz fought for points on their home ice.
Sharks also win in the western derby
On the Austrian national holiday, the Haie welcomed the Dornbirn ice hockey club in the Tiwag Arena Innsbruck. After a strong first third of the guests, he went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
The second section was also used by the Vorarlbergers. In the end it was the number 85 of the guests, Jesse Saarinen, who was able to increase the score to 2-0 for his team. At the end of the second period, the hosts managed to get in touch with Benjamin Betker.
In the last section, the previously dominant Dornbirn ice hockey club lost its order. Due to a mistake, the Innsbruck team equalized after 42 minutes on the clock. With a final score of 6: 3, the Innsbrucker Haien achieved their fourth victory in a row. On Friday they will be challenged by the KAC while the Bullodogs receive the Bratislava Capitals at home.

Ljubljana extends the table lead in Graz
The 99ers had the first chance after 13 seconds, but shortly afterwards they received the first penalty, but the death remained without consequences. Ljubljana followed suit in the 5th minute and took the lead through Gregor Koblar. After that, the encounter became more physically intense and the Grazers reacted with a bang to the deficit. But on the other side, the Slovenes took their first chance outnumbered and came through Zan Jezovskek to 2-0. And the leader of the table increased, a minute later Aleksander Magovac scored 0: 3 – that was also the first break in Liebenau.
The middle section was less than 120 seconds old when the guests cheered again, Jaka Sturm exploited an uncertainty of the Graz goalkeeper to 4-0, while the Styrians on the other side struggled again with the metal. But shortly afterwards the time had come, Dominik Grafenthin put the 99ers on the scoreboard. The cheers had not yet died down as the 99ers followed suit, but the hit was not given after a video study. The 1: 5 field by Miha Stebih in the 36th minute, that should also have been the preliminary decision. Even the 2: 5 a few moments before the second siren by Michael Schiechl was of little use.
The Graz team were a bit more offensive in the last third, had chances, but had a hard time with the Slovenian defenders. On the other side, the guests used a break to extend their lead, Joona Verner Erving scored to 2: 6. The final point of the game was the home side, who came through Calle Ackered to make it 3: 6 in the 59th minute.
Championship lead expanded
Because Fehervar AV19 shared the points in Villach, the league returnee from Slovenia was able to expand the table lead to five points. Follower Szekesfehervar won the EC VSV only after extra time. The front runner Ljubljana expects the Black Wings Linz on Friday, Fehervar has to go to Bozen.
Defeats for Salzburg, Linz and the KAC
There were no victories on the national holiday for the severely decimated Salzburg team. Matt McIlvane’s team lost 3-1 at HC Orli Znojmo on Tuesday. With Alexander Pallestrang and Thomas Raffl two important pillars are returning to the team, the many failures and many games still with many overtimes made themselves felt among the Czech eagles. Next Friday, the Red Bulls are expecting HC Pustertal in their own hall for the first time.
Linz with a point, KAC clearly loses
The Vienna Capitals cheered in Linz late! The capital city club secures the victory in the steel city in the extension and thus goes down the Danube with a 5: 4 nV. On the other hand, there was no cheering in the redjacket camp. Because the KAC caught a clear 2: 6 at the Bratislava Capitals on the national holiday.
