Turismo de Portugal launches today the invest.turismodeportugal.pt platform, which aims to increase the perception of the quality of the Portugal brand and be of help to those who want to invest in the country.
Available in Portuguese and English, a page seeks to “improve and establish contacts between potentials and find talent”, something that the Secretary of State for Tourism classified as “very important for the industry”.
“It is possible to search for talent, recruiting processes, monitor foreign investment in the sector, in essence, add value to the industry, bringing international attention to Portugal”, highlighted Rita Marques.
The official was speaking at the opening session of the 2021 edition of the conference ‘The Resort and Residential Hospitality Forum’ (R&R), at the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Resort, in Vilamoura, Algarve, where the world’s leading experts in investment in areas of tourism, hospitality and leisure.
According to Rita Marques, even with the country no longer receiving due to the covid-19 pandemic, the Government “has never stopped working” with Turismo de Portugal to develop the industry, and this new platform is an important tool for those who want to “invest” in the country, “he praised.
The page is divided into four areas – Portugal at a glance; Starting a business; Search for an opportunity and Financing Options – with all the information about the country, characterization of the sector and how to start a business in Portugal, with success cases also being reported, said Turismo de Portugal in a statement.
Analyzes are also provided on “talent, entrepreneurship and innovation, sustainability, macroeconomics, strategy, FDI, tourism performance, investment and financing, tax benefits, residential tourism and trends, as well as information on recent business, main transactions and openings and number of projects in ‘pipeline'”.
Turismo de Portugal also announced that it has a team dedicated to this area, with a mission to support the investment process, in the fields of investment opportunities, financing, licensing, human resources, entrepreneurship, statistics and partnerships. of the Turismo de Portugal teams working abroad.
In a session dedicated to the role of Governments in supporting post-pandemic recovery and on an issue regarding the future of the industry, Rita Marques highlighted the importance of following the priorities of the 2017 agenda and improvements that “united the contributions” of government institutions and the private sector.
