Toulouse. Lamartine college awarded medal at the “2021 Youth Games”
The Lamartine college, labeled Generation 2024 and Olympic Class, experienced Haute-Garonne during the national final of the “Youth Games 2021” at INSEP in Paris on October 15, 16 and 17.
Six students – Alessia Coste, Julia Giacomin, Hayati Yssouf, Nicolas Giuntini, Julian Gouret and Rayane Mechab – proudly carried the colors of Toulouse and Haute-Garonne. All supervised by Alexis Gronoff and Elodie Quintin, their PE teachers.
No less than nine events were on the program in the temple of French sport: an obstacle course, doping awareness, parasports, laser run, a film debate workshop “The color of victory”, the connected bike, boules sports – progressive shooting, a smartphone workshop and dance.
Raising awareness of the practice of sport for health was at the heart of this major national event. “This adventure has particularly allowed the students to live together while respecting their differences, to be valued, to meet a host of champions, to discover and share new forms of practice … and even to travel by plane or see the Eiffel Tower and Parc des Princes for the first time, “added the teachers. “This wonderful experience was made possible thanks to the support of the establishment, the CDOS and the UNSS of Haute-Garonne”, they continued. These days of immersion did indeed allow these young people to spend a unique moment combining physical activity, challenge and conviviality.
