Thessaloniki – A priest invited the faithful to enter Agios Dimitrios without a mask
A priest expressed his complaints about the strong police presence at the entrance and inside of the Holy Temple of Agios Dimitrios, in Thessaloniki, to the leaders of ELAS.
The strong police presence of ELAS to prevent crowded images provoked the reaction of a church priest, who addressed the Greek Police officers and stressed that “there is nowhere else in Greece so much police. Do you like this image in Greece?
The ELAS officer replied that the measures have been taken to avoid overcrowding and for this reason police officers have been placed at the main entrance and inside the Holy Temple, as well as at the side entrance of the church.
According to thesstoday, at this time the police have been removed after the reactions of the priests, with the faithful entering crowds inside the Temple.
In fact, it is worth noting that in a live connection of ERT, the said priest urged believers to enter the Temple without the mask, despite the recommendations of the Greek Police.
Images without the mask are kissed
For another day, believers, despite the strong health protocols that have come into force with the obligatory use of the mask, embrace the images uncovered. All this is naturally a concern for a large increase in cases and deaths from coronavirus in Thessaloniki.
