Against the so far also pointless GC Amiticia Zurich, HV Herzogenbuchsee wins with 31:26 and thus gets the first points of this season.
The first half was similar for both teams. Thanks to a solid cover, the Buchsen team only managed to allow a few goals. However, due to many technical errors and impatient attacking play, the home team was only able to gain a small lead.
The first half ended with a direct free throw that Malin Rieder was able to use. So at halftime it was 10: 8 for the home team. The goals for the second half of the game were clear: create better chances in attack, maintain good cover work and build up the lead.
The HV Herzogenbuchsee was in the meantime with seven goals ahead
The defense should get the opponent’s 7: 6 attack game under control – with an early and aggressive approach to the opponent, with a lot of movement, and good anticipation.
The home team did this very well at first. The flow of play for the visiting team was disrupted early on and many quick and easy goals were made available to HV Herzogenbuchsee. In the 46th minute of the game, she was able to expand the lead up to seven goals.
The last 15 minutes were marked by a few two-minute penalties and many goals on both sides. The women from Buch didn’t let anything burn and fought for their first two points of the season with a strong team performance.
The next game will be played against the record champions LC Brühl on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. The kick-off is at 7.30 p.m. in St. Gallen.
