Salzburg start-up has big plans with small vegan balls
EasyVegan is now listed in stores across Austria. Production takes place at the new company location in Bergheim.
It started in 2013 as a self-experiment: Cassandra Winter and her partner Martin Jager switched their own diet to vegan and began to tinker with lentil recipes. In the meantime, lentil patties, lentil balls and lentil sticks have become the basis of business for the two Salzburgers.
Production is no longer done by hand in Eugendorf, but by machine in the new company premises in the former Unito halls in Bergheim. The EasyVegan company founded by Winter and Jäger also has enough freezer capacity there to freeze the patties that do not contain any preservatives. …
