DUBAI, October 26. / TASS /. Russia and the UAE intend to discuss prospects for cooperation in organizing lunar missions and create a new space station. The head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin and the Minister of State for Advanced Technology of the UAE – Chairman of the UAE Space Agency Sara bint Youssef Al-Amiri express such intentions on Tuesday before the signing of an intergovernmental agreement on the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, the TASS correspondent reports from the scene.

“We are now coming close to the need to make decisions about what will happen after the ISS <...> How the new station will work, what inclination it will be, its future functionality for humanity, “- said the head of Roscosmos.
“Therefore, I would like to continue the conversation with pleasure, probably without such an abundance of participants, as at this meeting today. This topic,” Rogozin said to al-Amiri.
He is also recruiting the OAA for the safety of the future lunar station.
In turn, al-Amiri said that she would like to study information about these projects and suggested organizing interaction between specialists of the two countries in order to continue this dialogue. “I am confident that we will be able to discuss a mechanism for creating our partnership that will benefit both countries,” she said.
Russia and the UAE agreed to expand cooperation within the framework of an intergovernmental agreement on the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes. The document was signed on Tuesday during the 72nd International Astronautical Congress in Dubai by the head of Roscosmos Rogozin and the UAE Minister of State for Advanced Technologies – Chairman of the UAE Space Agency al-Amiri.

The 72nd Astronautical Congress is being held at the Dubai World Trade Center from 25 to 29 October under the auspices of the International Federation of Astronautics. The event will be attended by the heads of space agencies from different countries, representatives of the space industries, equipment and space manufacturers.
