But the good news for the country does not stop there. The Paiva Walkways collected trophies in the categories “Best Adventure Tourism Attraction” and “Best Tourism Development Project”. Other projects related to the sector received awards, namely the Suspension Bridge of Arouca (“Best Tourism Attraction Development Project”) and the Dark Sky Alqueva (“Responsible Tourism”).
The Portuguese hotel industry was also awarded in weight at the WTA 2021, with several spaces receiving trophies in different categories: Club Med Da Balaia (Albufeira), as “Best All-Inclusive Resort”; 1908 Lisbon, as “Best Design”; Saccharum (Wood), as “Best Island Resort”; Pestana CR7 Lisboa, as “Best Hotel Lifestyle”; Conrad Algarve (Almancil), as “Best Resort Lifestyle”; Valverde Hotel (Lisbon), as “Best Luxury Boutique Hotel”; Vila Vita Parc (Porches), as “Best Luxury Hotel & Villas”; The Lake Spa Resort (Vilamoura), as “Best Luxury Lifestyle Resort”; Dunas Douradas Beach Club (Almancil), as “Best Luxury Resort & Villas”; Cascade Wellness Resort (Lagos), as “Best Sport Resort”; Martinhal Sagres Beach Family Resort, as “Best Villa Resort”; L’AND Vineyards (Montemor-o-Novo), as “Best Wine Hotel”; and Monte Santo Resort (Carvoeiro), as “More Romantic Resort”.
