National holiday: “Nazi” poster hung on Mozartsteg in Salzburg
Strangers hang up a 15-meter-long banner – but upside down. The police asked witnesses for clues.
The Salzburg police are looking for unknown perpetrators who die on the morning of the national holiday, a poster hangs on the Mozartsteg in downtown Salzburg. “Do you want the total spoil ???”, was written on the approximately 15 meter long banner.
The two S were replaced by the two so-called Siegrunen, the emblem of the National Socialist Schutzstaffel. The police therefore speak of a label with National Socialist ideas.
It was also noticeable that the poster had been hung upside down. The police conclude that the perpetrators were injured. Investigators are currently assuming that the banner was hung between 6.30 and 8 a.m. Passers-by discovered the poster and informed the police.
The City Hall Police Inspectorate asked witnesses for information on 059133 5588 100. Up to Tuesday there was no trace of the perpetrators.
According to the police, it cannot be said with certainty whether it is a poster of corona denials. The investigation would run in all directions, according to the police press office.
The state of Salzburg had called on the population to “show the flag” on the occasion of the national holiday on October 26th and on the anniversary of the terrorist attack in Vienna on November 2nd. The national holiday is a day of joy, on which the end of the occupation after the Second World War is celebrated. In addition, on November 2, the victims of the terrorist attack in Vienna last year will be remembered and therefore the black woman will be hoisted on state buildings.
