Jelani Blackman and Bateu Matou at Super Bock in Stock in Lisbon
For Capitólio, “a room dedicated to urban rhythms”, according to the organizer Música no Coração, they were confirmed today as performances by Briton Jelani Blackman, “whose curriculum already has, namely, the presence in the last EP by Gorillaz edited this year, in the theme ‘Entretanto'”, and by the Portuguese Lon3r Johny and T-Rex.
The “supergroup” Bateu Matou passes on the Tivoli stage, bringing together drummers Ivo Costa, Quim Albergaria and RIOT, who will feature Pité (MGDRV), Héber Marques (HMB) and Favela Lacroix as a solution.
Editor Cuca Monga “will take over” the Palácio da Independência, with shows by Atalaia Airlines, B1SHPØ, El Salvador and João Sala and Fernão Biu and Luís Montenegro.
Rappers Mundo Segundo & Sam The Kid perform at Coliseu dos Recreios, whose bar will receive DJ sets from Aquário Coletivo, BECO DJs and Ricardo Mariano & Tiago Castro.
The Garagem da Epal “is once again the stage for new values indicated by artists already with regular careers: RIOT introduces us to João Não & Lil Noon and Pimenta Caseira, and Samuel Úria, in turn, recommends that we meet Jónatas Pires and Monday”.
Casa do Alentejo hosts the performances of Brazilians Paulo Novaes and Bia Ferreira, and Maxime hosts Elas and Jazz (Marta Hugon, Mariana Norton and Joana Machado) as AutoEngano Queens (Madalena Palmeirim, Zoe Dorey and Natalia Green), Nuno Lanhoso and Carolina Milhanas.
Soluna, IAMKENNIS, Cláudia Pascoal and Lila pass through Sala 2 of Cinema São Jorge, and Beijaflor joins the names already confirmed for the stage at Estação do Rossio.
In this edition, on the Super Bock Bus, which serves the festival’s ticket holders, “it will transport the audience to the sound of Viva O Samba Lisboa, on the first day, and Jesus The Snake, on the second”.
The names announced today join others such as Django Django, Black Country, New Road, Miraa May, Leo Meddea, Benny Sings, Acacia Maior and Filipe Karlsson.
Altogether there will be “more than 50 artists in more than ten rooms, in a movement that goes to the rhythm of the music and, this year, with a taste of normality”.
In addition to the concerts, the festival’s poster also includes in this edition a series of debates under the theme “The return of music in the post-pandemic”.
Sala 3 at Cinema São Jorge will complete two panels per day, each with three options, which “will be announced shortly”, and moderated by SBSR-FM radio animators. On the first day there is talk about “Women in Music” and “How not to reach the spotlight. Context or Option?”, and no second day is talked about “Music Radios in the Digital Age. What changes after the pandemic?” and “After years of precariousness, how to design a different future?”.
Tickets for the festival have a cost of 45 euros, until November 18th. On festival days, the ticket costs 50 euros.
The promoter recalls that “the ticket must be exchanged for a bracelet, for the one itself, placed only by the Festival’s organization at Coliseu dos Recreios, from November 18th onwards”.
“Given the obligation to present a COVID Digital Certificate or negative test, we recommend that you arrive early and prepare your certificate and identification document as soon as possible, since its verification is another necessary step to exchange the ticket for wristband “, stresses the prosecutor.
The bracelet provides access to all rooms, “up to the limit of capacity”.
The festival will once again resort to reusable cups, which owes a cost of one euro and whose value will revert “in full” to Audiovisual União, thus giving “a new contribution to help professionals in the sector who are still experiencing difficult times”.
