The weekend that the Russian regions have introduced due to the coronavirus pandemic should lead to a drop in the number of people infected with COVID-19, declared by biological sciences Alexander Chepurnov, write “News”.
As the expert clarified, the measures in different regions will differ. For example, in the Nizhny Novgorod region almost all spheres of the economy work, and in Crimea QR codes will be introduced everywhere, Russians will be checked at checkpoints at the entrance to the region.
Chepurnov admitted that with strict observance of anti-epidemic rules, the decline in incidence should begin by the end of November. “There is hope that in the second half of November, the maximum at the beginning of December, a decline will begin,” he predicted efficiency. Epidemiologist Eduard Shunkoval does not rank public places according to the degree of danger.
“An infected person can become a source of a chain of infections in any public announcement,” he explained and advised at the first symptoms to self-isolate and get tested for coronavirus. Wearing masks in public places and transport should be mandatory, regardless of government decrees, the specialist recalled.
From Monday, October 25, in six Russian regions “antique holidays” began. Six more regions will take similar measures by October 30. In the remaining 72 subjects, non-working days will start from this date.
