BAG reports 1,491 new coronavirus cases within 24 hours
A week ago, the BAG had registered 1240 new infections. There were also two new authorities and 21 new hospital admissions.
For every 100,000 inhabitants, 173.24 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus infections were reported in the last two weeks. The reproduction number R, which indicates how many people an infected person infects on average, was 1.24 around ten days ago.
The utilization of the intensive care units in the hospitals is currently 68.7 percent. 11.6 percent of the available beds are occupied by Covid 19 patients.
63 percent fully vaccinated
As a logistics center, the army pharmacy has received a total of 13,297,425 vaccination doses so far. Of these, 11,043,045 doses were administered. 63.01 percent are already fully vaccinated. So far, 6,985,505 have been issued certificates for fully vaccinated persons.
In the last 24 hours, 22,145 new corona tests were reported to the BAG. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 11,566,572 tests for Sars-CoV-2, the causative agent of the respiratory disease Covid-19, have been carried out in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, as the BAG further announced. In total, there were 867,197 work-confirmed cases of infection with the coronavirus.
33,494 people who have so far been treated in hospital for a Covid 19 disease. The number of cases in connection with Covid 19 disease is believed to be 10,836.
