“Artistic direction entrusted to Andrea Prada”
After the call for companies in San Marino went deserted, the only way forward was the direct negotiation but looking beyond the border. The Secretary of State for Tourism conducted it in just one week Federico Pedini Amati: out of a range of 4 proposals, that of Andrea Prada, a well-known face of the entertainment sector, with experience in organizing other similar events, and who thus becomes the new artistic director of the event. Illuminations: they will be identical to the last edition, entrusted to the same Italian supplier, but at a lower cost; to take care of the Communication instead it will be a San Marino company.
initially 320,000 euros had been allocated in resolution for the tender, but thanks to the cuts, spending in the end settled on 280,000 euros, divided into 150,000 for the artistic part, 90,000 for the lights (-10,000 euros) and 40,000 for the Communication (- 40,000 euros). Add to this for the first time, the free granting of 36 Christmas houses to trade associations, 9 for each. Pedini Amati refers to the sender “the many controversies that have rained down on the Secretariat and the Tourist Office, which in reality, on balance, – he recalls – have shown that they have operated with transparency, seriousness and without facilitating anyone”. “Despite the difficulties, this year San Marino – he says – will have the Christmas it deserves”.
The circle closes, again with a specific resolution, also on the agreement between the Republic and the Cipriani Group. Black on white commitments and conditions for the management of the Nido del Falco: the most famous Italian entrepreneurs in the catering sector ready to invest 2 million euros for the redevelopment of the area. In 2023 the opening of the restaurant will be of a high standard, as he has assured Giuseppe Cipriani, like the others in the Group.
Finally, on the environmental front, the Secretary Stefano Canti reports the adoption of two resolutions: one of integration to a previous agreement for waste management with the Marche; the other for the green light to a new agreement – signature scheduled for Thursday – which allows companies that deal with waste management in the area to be able to dispose of them at plants in the Lombardy Region.
