Toulouse. Latécoère develops an innovative system to improve sound in airplanes

Soon better sound on planes? In any case, that’s what it’s about Latécoère and Devialet. Wednesday October 13, 2021, the aeronautical equipment manufacturer based in Toulouse partnered with the leading acoustic engineering company to develop the first “High-fidelity system for aeronautics”. This aims to improve the quality of sound in airplanes.
“Improve the passenger experience”
This new system consists of adapting the enclosure to an aircraft. Ghost of Devialet. A luxury sound device sold for over a thousand euros.
As part of this collaboration, Devialet will offer a Phantom II Custom, stamped expressly for the Toulouse group. For its part, Latécoère works for the best possible integration and to obtain its certification in a flight environment. The group is also working to make the system compatible with its technology. LiFi, which competes with wifi by offering a better connection speed.
“The complete equipment aims to bring a superior and revolutionary level of audio quality to significantly improve the passenger experience on the plane and support the growing importance of entertainment in private transport”.
Soon for business aviation
On Wednesday October 13, Latécoère announced that this innovative product will be offered at business aviation market from 2022. It was presented to NBAA Las Vegas Lounge (United States), an international event entirely dedicated to business aviation to be held from October 12 to 14, 2021.
