They ask for blue zones behind the Svratka River. They will probably wait two years
Dominik Zámec, for example, is used to mark blue lines. According to him, parking is bad in the locality delimited by Vinohrady, Vídeňská and Svratka streets. “Zones can help, because then only residents would stand here. It occurs to me that a lot of people leave a car here, I want to go to the lookout and take a walk. Or they park here and go to the center of the dirt, “he told a reporter in the daily Rovnost in the area of the man.
The Brno-Wednesday councilor approved the request for the priority introduction of the zone under Červený kopec after the locals also turned to the city district. “There were dozens of them. The intention makes sense, because when residential parking is introduced somewhere, the problem with cars will move a few streets further, which is precisely the case here, ”explained Jan Mandát, a Brno-střed councilor for transport.
Next year, the locals in the Red Hill locality will certainly not see the blue lines. According to the approved plan, they will start operating in five areas of Brno-north and two in Královské.
For next year, city representatives are currently preparing a schedule for the launch of residential parking. “In the Red Hill demand, people will not reach the area until 2023 at the earliest, but I cannot promise that. We do not want to reveal the specific location for that year yet, but we will logically build on the existing border of the zone and expand it in a certain direction further, “said Petr Kratochvíl, the city councilor for transport.
Here, the required area will operate in zone B mode with all-day regulation or C only with night restriction, it is currently not clear. Brno-Wednesday councilors approved the request without defining specific zones.
Apart from the Red Hill, the blue zones do not work in the surrounding areas called Jílová and Polní. “Of these, we record inquiries only in the order of units,” said the Mandate. There are no lines in the Brno-center area even in the Masaryk district.
IN MEDLÁNKY ARE FOR
Simultaneously with the parliamentary elections, they voted on the residential parking of the inhabitants of Medlánek. Sixty percent of people spoke in favor. Based on the results of the survey, the representatives of the city district are asking for its introduction by the municipality. “It simply came to our notice then. We already have a higher incidence of permanently parked cars in some places today. The launch is realistic at the earliest in 2024, 2025 or 2026, “said the mayor of Medláne, Michal Marek.
Medláneč is planning a single area for the entire city district. Parking restrictions there should only work overnight, ie from five o’clock in the afternoon to six in the morning.
Medlánky will join the ranks of waiters for the other four city districts, and representatives of the municipality have already expressed interest in introducing blue zones. “Leaving aside the parts where residential parking is already being introduced, these are Jundrov, Komín, Židenice and Nový Lískovec. We are also negotiating with other city districts, “said Anna Dudková from the municipal press center.
The blue zones currently operate mainly in Brno-střed, Králova Pole and Žabovřesk. Each of these neighborhoods has several locations with blue lines. With the only area, Černovice is one of them.

– Recently, the city council approved the application to the municipality. The implementation is realistic at the earliest next year.
