The Communist Party also supported the law on the abolition of mandatory technical inspection. Membership Aleksey Kurinny recalled that his factions had previously submitted a similar initiative to the State Duma, but its factions were rejected. The first deputy chairman of the Just Russia faction, Oleg Nilov, added that his party advocated this innovation seven years ago.
“We believe that the responsibility for the condition of the car should first of all be borne by its owner, who often simply sold a technical inspection report,” admission of the deputy chairman of the United Russia faction, Adalbi Shkhagoshev.
Pyotr Shkumatov, the coordinator of the Blue Buckets Society, assumes that the majority of Russian car owners will react positively to the bill. In his opinion, drivers are waiting for such changes.
