SAN_MARINO

team satisfied for the third edition of TEDxCittàdiSanMarino

Sugar Mizzy October 25, 2021

Much more than a conference. Much more than a show. A swing of emotions, a circle of ideas that planted small seeds in the minds of over 100 participants: this was TEDxCittàdiSanMarino 2021. On the stage of the Sala Titano of the Kursaal Congress Center and online on the Meeters platform, the presenters of the day, Gloria Valentini and Michele Sapignoli, introduced the 9 speakers in the lineup for the event entitled “HERE AND NOW”: a strongly evocative theme, which wanted to focus on the actions that can change the world and make a better place, performed not in the past, not in the future, but precisely every day, in the present. “A topic that we do not concern and have already taken on before the pandemic these last two years have nothing but amplified. Here, the space of our lives: the one in which we live, we work, we study. Our home, our republic, our land. Now: the perfect time to take action. – this is the opening greeting of Nicola Giancecchi, organizer of TEDxCittàdiSanMarino – We hope that this can be a small opportunity for rebirth, a return to normality, but above all a moment of inspiration thanks to the many ideas worthy of comparison and sharing “.

THE DAY
Some speakers gave the office, others moved, others confronted the responsibilities, dedicating their talk to urgent global, social and environmental issues. Starting with the “talents” of the house, Stiven Muccioli, Giovanni Giardi and Alessandra Perilli. Three great personalities “made in San Marino”, three different ways of interpreting their HERE AND NOW: from the technological and financial innovation of Stiven, among the 150 Fintech Leaders and Influencers in Italy, to the historical testimony of Giovanni, first as a trade union representative in the factory, to cover the prestigious position of the Secretary General of the CDLS of San Marino. Speaking of emotions and actions that change the world, the testimony of Alessandra, the first historic Sammarine Olympic medalist held in the women’s trap competition in Tokyo just a few months ago, could not be missing. But the “HERE AND NOW”, the breaking point between what we have lived and what we will experience, could not have been such without the experience of some young speakers, belonging to the generation that will be called in the immediate future to govern the great processes of change taking place in the world: so here is the experience of Francesco Barberini, born in 2007, aspiring ornithologist who at the age of 14 already boasts five publications of books dedicated to animals and nature, collaborating with institutions such as WWF, LIPU, ENPA and Legambiente. To bring attention to education is instead Nicolò Govoni, human rights activist, who has sensitized the plate about the possibility of changing the fate of the planet by acting directly on the school. The intervention of Meg Pagani, entrepreneur in the field of social innovation, instead opened a discussion on what the reality of some beneficial projects actually is, thus placing the accent on how to intervene correctly where it is needed. It is about human rights thanks to the talk by Silvana Arbia, jurist at the International Criminal Court, for years also at the forefront of the licensing of rights regarding the crimes committed in the context of the 1994 Rwanda genocide. Finally, also life stories: spoken Vittorio Toto Ondedei, former guitar and voice of I Camillas, told his story and that of his musical group with a fascinating technique, striking directly the hearts of the participants. Valentina Ricci, known to most as “La Vale” by Radio Deejay, her radio speaker and author, took care of the event, who brought the HERE AND NOW on the stage of TEDxCittàdiSanMarino with a strong explosion of emotions and sympathy.

THANKS
TEDxCittàdiSanMarino for its realization requires resources, mainly human, but not only. For this reason, around the organization revolve dozens of people, institutions and partners who, once again this year, have decided to support one of the San Marino cultural events par excellence. The first “thank you” goes to our presenters, Gloria Valentini and Michele Sapignoli, who with their sympathy and affability did the honors and led the stage with incredible strength. Thanks to all the speakers of the third edition of TEDxCittàdiSanMarino, for their presence and for giving us a point of view on their HERE AND NOW: Alessandra Perilli, Francesco Barberini, Giovanni Giardi, Meg Pagani, Nicolò Govoni, Silvana Arbia, Stiven Muccioli , Valentina Ricci and Vittorio Toto Ondedei. The Most Excellent Captains Regent, HE Francesco Mussoni and HE Giacomo Simoncini, together with the Secretary of State Fabio Righi honored us with their presence. The event was also supported by the State Secretariat for Industry, Crafts, and Commerce, Technological Research, Regulatory Simplification and by the State Secretariat for Tourism, Post Offices, Cooperation and Expo. Fundamental support was also obtained from the various partners of the third edition: SIT Group, TIM San Marino, Botika, La Serenissima, Koppe, Attiva-Mente, Grand Hotel San Marino Group, Fer-Menti Leontine, the newspaper La Serenissima, EuroStudio, Everwall, Mailchimp, Shutterstock. Finally, a huge thank you to the organizing team of this edition. The operational part of the event was made possible also thanks to the presence of numerous volunteers who every year available to support TEDxCittàdiSanMarino with their availability: a special thanks to them.
