Strangled, knocked down, gagged … MP Coralie Dubost returns to her violent aggression
Coralie Dubost spoke of the assault she and her companion suffered in the street in Paris, one night last week. “It was not a political aggression,” she assures us.
“We are doing a lot better. We are recovering ”. A week after the violent assault she suffered in the middle of the street in Paris with her companion, MP Coralie Dubost spoke on BFM TV on Sunday to give her news and some details of the freezing attack. During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, after going out to a restaurant, on the way back, around 12:15 am, the couple, on foot, were “attacked from behind”. “We were strangled at the same time. We did not see the faces of the attackers at that time, ”she confides with still palpable emotion.
The couple is “put on the ground”. “I don’t know how to comment. I think I lost consciousness, I fainted from the strangulation ”. The elected LREM is then “gagged”, “blind”. She only heard the blows given to her companion. She remembers an operation carried out in “very great silence”, “it was very mechanical and cold”.
His companion broke this silence and gave “all he has” – a Rolex watch worth 12,000 euros was mentioned in the press. However, this did not end the ordeal of the couple. “There were still blows. Then at some point they decided to cut it off. In any case, the aggressor who decided to me that this had to end and they left ”.
Her stolen purse
There was no one else in the street at the time of the attack. The deputy for Hérault was able “to observe both the behavior, the approach” of the attackers, four in number, during their flight. His friend “saw certain faces”.
The criminals are distributed with his handbag and “all the belongings inside”. “Luckily, there hadn’t been my phone with some sensitive data,” she says happily. In this bag, there were his papers and souvenirs “among which there were also some (s) of jewelry”. If she has received many messages of support, Coralie Dubost has also been the subject of a controversy on social networks, as to the loot of thugs. It was mentioned in several media that she had 2000 euros in cash. “This is absolutely false,” she retorts, referring to a “cash value, that does not mean cash or liquid”.
As for the reproaches of the most displaced who emphasized that instead of being at the restaurant she should have been in the National Assembly where the extension of the health pass was debated, she replied: “Do our job we all do constantly (…) ) We operate within each political group by rotation, that evening I was not on duty ”. “I had reported my unavailability to the group who did not call me urgently,” she adds.
The elected representative deplored a “simple news item”, “it happens to other French people, we are perfectly aware of it. It was not a political aggression ”.
