Ruslan Edelgeriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Climate Issues, spoke about what issues Russia will raise at a conference on climate change in Glasgow, Scotland. He said this in an interview with the newspaper “News”…
According to him, one should always speak in coalitions at such global international platforms. The special representative said that the Russian delegation will raise “issues that are toxic to the West” in Glasgow.
He spoke about the negotiations with other countries through which Russia is joining forces at the climate conference in Scotland.
Formerly press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov reportedthat Vladimir Putin will not attend the climate summit in Glasgow. At the same time, Peskov recalled that the problems that will be discussed in Glasgow are one of the priorities of Russian foreign policy.
The 26th Conference of the Third Party UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-26) will start in Glasgow on November 1st. More than 30 thousand people from 200 countries are expected to take part in its work.
