Rush at Klimaticket – salzburg.ORF.at

The climate ticket at Salzburg’s main train station caused another rush today. You can drive it from October 26th. Today some people from Salzburg used the advance booking with a significantly cheaper price.
The climate ticket is not yet available in credit card form. The production for this has only been running for around 10 days. The ticket for all public transport in Austria has already been sold 70,000 times – today there are even more. More than half are tickets for adults, around a third are youth tickets.
In credit card form, personalized and with a photo, only very few can find their ticket in the mailbox today, because production for the cards did not start until mid-October. “Therefore, it takes a while until the customers have their final tickets,” says ÖBB spokesman Robert Mosser.
Ticket only valid after two weeks when purchased online
Also be careful when buying online – if you buy your ticket via the website or app, you have to wait at least two weeks before it is valid. However, if you pick up your ticket at the counter, you can use it straight away.
If you still have an Österreichcard or another annual ticket, you can have it exchanged at the respective sales outlets.
The climate ticket is available at a lower price in advance until October 31st.
