O The general secretary of the PCP, Jerónimo de Sousa, announced this Monday that the party will vote against a proposal for the general State Budget for 2022 (OE2022).
“Portugal does not need any Budget, it needs an answer to the existing problems that grow as they are not faced. There are conditions and means to respond. In this context, given the framework of commitments and signs given, the PCP will vote against this State Budget”, defended the leader of the communists, elaborating that” it would be almost a magic blow “to reach, until Wednesday, an agreement with the Government.
For Jerónimo de Sousa, the country has been living under “right-wing policies” for decades, considering that now “there are answers and solutions that cannot be postponed”.
“It is not understandable that it is possible to give this answer, it is postponed by subjugating it to criteria [europeus]”, highlighted by the secretary general of the PCP.
